Where do I edit a product description in Shopify?
Open Products in your admin, click a product, and edit the Description field. To change many at once, select products and choose Edit products, or use an app to generate them in bulk.
Does Shopify have a built-in AI description writer?
Shopify Magic offers basic AI text help for a single product at a time. For bulk generation, multiple AI models, image input, and complete SEO fields, a dedicated app does much more.
Will AI-generated descriptions hurt my SEO?
Not when done well. Search engines reward helpful, unique content however it's made. The risks are thin or duplicated copy — so generate unique descriptions per product and review them. More in our SEO descriptions guide.
